How to Apply?

- The applications are processed through the National Committee of Costa Rica.
You should apply to UWCR through the National Committee of Costa Rica. That Committee will be able to tell you about this College, as well as give information about the scholarships available and the eligibility requirements.

Selection Process
The selection process varies from one National Committee to another to ensure that it is applicable and relevant to the local culture and education system.  The selection process will be looking for students who have the potential to benefit from a UWC experience. There will usually be a written application and some form of interview, but you may also take part in group activities and community service, an examination and perhaps even a weekend camp.
Selection processes are usually completed before May 1st of the year of entry.

- The teaching language are Spanish and English at UWC Costa Rica. Previous knowledge of the teaching language is not a requirement. 

Applicants are usually at least 16 years old when they enter a UWC.

- The college operates on an August-May academic year.
