UWC COSTA RICA
- The college offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
- Most courses are offered in English as well as Spanish, making the college the first fully bilingual UWC.
- Students further participate in activities and service programmes which involve working closely with the local community in the incomparable natural environment of Costa Rica.
- A new course in Global Citizenship and Public Service further reinforces this goal.
-

An extensive scholarship programme means that students are selected on the basis of merit and regardless of their social or economic status.

-

Given its historic connection with SOS Children Villages UWCCR aims to ensure that students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds are admitted to the school each year.

-

Given its geographical location, the college also seeks to provide places for students from all Latin American countries as well as from the Caribbean.

-

In addition, close to half the student population will come from other regions in the world.

-

The college is primarily committed to three areas: Peace, the environment and multiculturalism .
