UWCCR is a residential school for 192 students aged 16-19 of more than 65 different nationalities. Students attend the school for two years and prepare for the IB diploma in English and Spanish. Most students attend on a scholarship basis. The school is situated in the town of Santa Ana, close to the city of San Jose, Costa Rica.
Like other United World Colleges, the school is strongly committed to the promotion of international understanding, peace and conservation of the environment. Teachers are expected to lead extra curricular activities, participate in community service programmes and serve as tutors to a group of students

Teacher of English (A1/A2)
Teacher of English B & language support in English
Teacher of History (in English)
Teacher of Biology and Ecosystems & Societies (in English)
Teacher of Chemistry (in English) - tentative
Teacher of Physics (in English but for one semester only, August – December 2008)
We are seeking qualified and experienced teachers. IB experience is desirable but not essential. A willingness to contribute to a demanding and highly stimulating international residential educational community is vital!
